It’s often a race to get that dasSMACC ticket you’re after. Well here’s a few competitions to help you on your way! We want to bring out the creative educator in you (and don’t look away – we know all of you have one) and have chosen THREE competitions running from December to March where you can win free tickets to attend dasSMACC. Please note If you already have registration/a ticket, you will be reimbursed the cost.

Prizes: 2 x free registration to dasSMACC (for winner and runner up)
AND the opportunity to perform your poem/spoken word on the smacc stage or elect one of our smacc speakers (eg. Victoria Brazil, Peter Brindley and more) to perform on your behalf.
#smaccSLAM is a slam poetry/spoken word competition open to all persons interested in critical and prehospital care (ED/Anaesthetics/ICU/Prehospital care)
Topic area must be related to smacc conference and/or your experiences in critical care/prehospital medicine/nursing/paramedicine. Suggestions include sharing stories about your own or a patient’s journey, a favourite medical condition, an ode to the FOAMed community or smacc. Multiple entries are permitted. Maximum length of smaccSLAM poem (spoken aloud) is 5 minutes.
To enter, please submit a poem – either written, recorded as a .mp3 or as a youtube video – and send a copy to email@example.com with the subject #smaccSLAM [your full name] to go in the running. Please include in the email your full name, place of study/hospital and position as well as your email, mobile number and twitter handle.

Share your love of FOAMed by creating some of your own! All you need to do is create an infographic based off a previous smacc talk. We prefer dimensions 1200×627 however are open to infographics in other sizes. This competition is open to all doctors/paramedics/nurses interested in critical + prehospital care. You could win a free registration at dasSMACC, all you need to do is create an infographic based on a previous smacc talk. The best entries will be published online. If you submit an entry in a foreign language please submit two versions, one with English and the other with foreign language of your choice.
Email submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject #smaccBYTE [your full name] to go in the running. Please include your smaccBYTE attached and in the email, detail your full name, place of study/hospital and role as well as your email, mobile number and twitter handle. Please also include the original smacc talk you have based your infographic off.
