SMACC 2019 is coming around the corner and to celebrate the community of delegates and speakers from all around the world and reflect on the last 5 years of learning; we’re running some fun competitions through the new year.
The first 100 competition entries by people not already registered for the conference will also be given a unique link to register for the conference ahead of the third (and final) ticket ballot on the 21st of January.
Also, there is a range of cool smacchendise up for grabs as well as speaking opportunities in the SMACC exhibition hall.
Please submit a brief 15-150 word story about something you have learned from a patient. It should be accompanied with a visual aid (which is not copyrighted, and which SMACC is able to publish on the website, crediting yourself)-> this is free choice. Suggestions include a photograph of the patient, an abstract picture, a quote, sculpture or sketch.
In stories where patients may be identified, signed patient consent should be obtained. This consent should by signed, dated and include consent for distribution/online access. A copy should be emailed together with your submission.
If patient consent is unable to be obtained – please remove or alter key identifying features such as name, age, location and physical description (and specify in your submission that you have done this)
Submissions should not be posted on twitter at time of submission but should be emailed to email@example.com We will then share your entries and also advise when you are able to post your submission online or twitter with the hashtag; #smaccSTORY
Please ensure that in your email you provide your best email and contact number, current job/position and city of current residence and whether you currently have registration to attend SMACC.
Highlights from entries will be showcased in the exhibition hall (+/- be shown on screens before/after talks)

Yes! smaccSLAM is back and it is a great opportunity for you to share your creative genius with the FOAMed community. Please send your poetry or audio/video recording of your spoken word performance relating to healthcare into firstname.lastname@example.org to enter.
Please ensure the title of your email contains #smaccSLAM and your name. Also provide your best email and contact number, current job/position and city of current residence and whether you currently have registration to attend SMACC.
Submissions should not be any longer than 4 minutes performed/read aloud.
