SMACC takes great pride in delivering an immersive inspirational learning experience that leaves delegates feeling revitalised and excited to return to their critical care vocation. The entire conference is carefully constructed to form a coherent consistent experience from the website design, graphics, academic program to the social events. This sentiment flows into our relationship with industry and the care we take in making the exhibition hall an integral part of the conference. The outdoor festival expo at SMACC Berlin broke the mould and was hugely successful.
In Sydney 2019 the conference themes draw from the city itself and the 4 main program stems:
- Bedside Practice (Evidenced Based clinical updates)
- People and Planet (Collective responsibilities as health providers)
- Science and Innovation (Creative ideas and making them happen)
- Learning and culture. (Teaching, learning and working as teams)
Sydney is unique in the way the city is connected by water. The Ocean, harbours, beaches and rivers unite the city. The lighthouses at South Head (Sydney Harbour) and Barrenjoey (Pittwater) are strong icons of Sydney as a maritime city but they also symbolise issues at the heart of providing critical care, such as;
- Leadership / Way forward (Lighting the way)
- Resilience /adversity (Strength)
- Welcoming / Sheltering (Caring)
- Keeper (Standing fast and vigilant)
The SMACC lighthouse of course has a cool ‘retro-futuristic’ feel and this design now flows through the website, the prospectus, the opening ceremony and the exhibition hall. The Expo will be held in hall 7 (immediately adjacent to the ICC theatre) with a huge lighthouse feature in the centre and four zones representing the four program stems. The retro-futuristic feel in the expo hall will be created with fluorescent lighting making this exhibition truly unique and generating excitement that will enhance the experience.
We hope that you will embrace our enthusiasm for innovation and work with us to develop our concept of an exciting exhibition hall and inspire your creative team to get on board. Talk to us about this and the roving exhibition so we can make SMACC Sydney the best for you in 2019.
