Alex is an emigrant son of an immigrant. He is an intensivist in Wellington with more interest in the 10% who don’t make it out alive than the 90% who do. In his spare time, when not walking an elderly dog or his younger children, he builds websites & designs logos for Wellington ICU’s prodigious research department. He has nearly written a lot more papers & as such should spend much less time on Twitter.
“Everything” at the End of Life
The meaning of ‘everything’ from the perspective of the patient, their family, their doctor and their health economist. We are all going to die; the only unknowns are when & how. If you can’t choose life, choose dying well. And make sure you tell your resuscitationist/oncologist/intensivist.
